We drove from Garretson South Dakota to East Jordan, Mi. Arrived at the cottage around 1 AM Thursday morning. Stopped at the Corn Palace in Mitchell SD.

Monday and Tuesday 8/8/2016

Monday we rode the loop below. Sturgis to rte 85 then 212 then 79 back to Sturgis. We stopped at the new Full Throttle Biker Bar. While there a storm was brewing. Linda and I walked out of the bar area and when we walked back they began to require an entrance fee. We put on our rain gear and headed back to camp. Rode through a really bad thunderstorm. The rain gear worked good. The others waited at the bar till the storm passed. Some of the exhibit tents collapsed due to the wind.
Tuesday - Left for home around 8:00 AM. We stopped for breakfast at Wall Drug and then went through the Badlands National Park. We stopped at Palisades State Park in southeastern South Dakota for the night. Had dinner at a little Bar and Grill in the nearby town of Garretson SD.

Saturday and Sunday 8/6-7/2016

The free WiFi isn't that good in camp. Haven't been able to get on line to post.
Weather has been hot some days then cool others. Its been windy most.
Did a number of rides into the mountains.
Friday did Spearfish Canyon.
Saturday rode to Custer
Sunday did a long ride to Mt Rushmore. Got rained on on the way back. Forgot our rain gear. Ick.
Forget what day but Linda and I took the truck to Devils Tower.

Friday 7/29/2016

Got up Friday morning, broke camp, cleaned up, then left around 8AM. No hurry. Met a guy ant a gas station along the way that was on a 3000 mile motorcycle trip. He had a new Triumph explorer type motorcycle. Says it does good on the road and off. He is tent camping on the way.

Decided to drive through to Craigs. Got there around 8:00 PM. Weather is nice.

1st Day - Thursday 7/28/2016

Took off for Colorado Thursday morning. Decided to take Highway 36 through Missouri. Camped overnight at Pershing State Park. It was real nice; clean and quiet. Iwas hot setting up camp. We left the tent fly cover off the top and could see the stars at night. Cooled off for the night and had a good nights sleep.
